Care & Support
Pastoral Care -
Care from the Pastor is provided as needed and can be requested by calling the church office at (702) 454-8484.
Contact your Deacon for care and support. The office of Deacons was established in Acts 2. Early Protestant reformer, John Calvin, believed that the primary task of the Deacon is to take care of the poor and to distribute alms. Deacons are nominated and approved by the Congregation. They serve three year terms. There are 21 active deacons serving the GVPC Congregation. Each Deacon is assigned a group of families and individuals to support.
Our Pastor and Congregation will support your prayer needs. Prayer requests can be made by submitting the Prayer Request Form found on this website, or Click Here. Or, you can call the church office. Our worship services include a time for Prayers of the People, when you can express prayer needs as well as joys.
Senior Adult Ministries -
For information about activities and the kinds of support available to you, please contact Linda Rauenbuehler, Director of Congregational Care, at or by calling the church office.
Stampin' in the Need of Prayer is a card ministry, where volunteers send handmade cards to those needing prayer, support, or affirmation.
Grief Support -
GVPC has an active Healing Hearts group, which has a gathering on the 3rd Sunday of each month to provide support.
